Für seine Arbeit „Domestico“ wurde der italienische Fotograf Bruno Pulici aus Mailand von der FotoDoks-Jury mit dem vom Kamerahersteller Leica gestifteten FotoDoks-Preises 2011 ausgezeichnet.

” Winner of the FotoDoks price 2011 is Italian photographer Bruno Pulici with his comprehensive series “Domestico”!
As intense as his long-term work on that series are the images that are intimate and disturbing at the same time. They unsettle the stereotypes of how we read the correlations that are usually way easier to handle. Bruno Pulici chose a topic that does not suit into easy patterns of media or art but seems relevant and readable, way beyond what it depicts: families that struggle with societies standards of normality and values. We admire the way Bruno extends the photographic work with material that pledges and fights in a non-didactical way for diversity and humanity as a gift to all!”

The way all of us at FotoDoks experienced Bruno during these days in Munich showed him in all his authenticity and openness that simply could to be cut down to a final statement of the jury 2011: “Bruno we all incredibly love you and your unglaublich work.” Congratulations!!
